What to look for in an iPhone 18 Pro Max case
Camera protection
The Pro Max camera sits on a raised plateau across the back, and it's usually the first thing to hit a table or the floor. Look for a case with a raised lip around the camera area, so the lenses sit below the edge of the case when the phone lies on its back, and a raised edge around the screen for when it lands face down.
MagSafe built in
If you use a MagSafe charger, wallet or car mount, choose a case with magnets built into the shell. A case without them weakens the magnetic hold and can misalign wireless charging.
Drop protection you can check
"Military grade" is used loosely. The meaningful version is a named test: MIL-STD-810H is a US military test standard, and a case tested to it has been dropped repeatedly from a set height.
